Whilst the hotel was still very comfortable and clean and the staff extremely helpful, the whole ambience of the hotel had changed since my last visit in 2010, due in no small part to the different nature of the clientele. We had some excellent evening meals, but not all of them reached the same standard, especially the Friday night barbecue about which we had not been informed in advance. The breakfasts were superb. The staff dealt very well on the whole with my friend's gluten free diet,and we appreciate, that even in this day and age, this is not easy to manage. The problem that caused us a sleepless night, was the lack of knowledge of some of the reception staff about the procedure for the collection and registration of our luggage for the Fly Luggage system, for which we had paid extra. However, Evija, who we were finally able to see on the morning of our departure, dealt most competently and efficiently with our homeward luggage. At the exit takers me 60 francs, because I booked !!!!!!
